THINGS TO DO AT WILD WITH NATURE

So much more than just a campsite...

At Wild With Nature we are so much more than just a campsite. We work hard to offer many extra features to make your stay with us unforgettable. Here are some of our added extras.

Lake Activities

Next to the lake or in the ‘Surf Shack’ (behind the outdoor kitchen) you will find a kayak, hybrid-paddleboards and a topper dinghy boat to spend the day on the water. You can even go wild swimming if you fancy it.

Plancha

In the outdoor kitchen at The Lakes you will find a Plancha stove. It is like a giant hotplate, perfect for a gut-buster breakfast fry up or pancakes.

Walks

The farm land stretches for a whopping 750 acres so there is lots to explore. There are some beautiful local walks you can take whilst staying with us, both onsite and in local areas.

You can find suggested routes in our guest folders in your hut.

Alfresco Dining

One of the best things about camping with friends and family is having the chance to enjoy alfresco meals in the clean country air.

At Honey Pot Meadow the huts have a table and chairs on each deck for dining alfresco. At The Lakes, each hut has a wooden picnic table or bistro set and there is plenty of outdoor dining space by the nest.

At dinner time, you can fire up the pizza oven for an authentic Italian feast, cook a hearty stew over a roaring campfire or get the BBQ going and delight your friends and family with an array of tasty chargrilled treats.

Hot Tubs

Our fantastic hot tubs are made by Naked Flame Eco-tubs of Huddersfield. There is one large 4-5 person hot tub at The Lakes and a 2 person tub at each of the Honey Pot Meadow huts. They are handcrafted from premium wood and stainless steel. Wonderful to soak in and beautiful to look at.

Once the wood burner is lit, the tub takes roughly 2 hours to heat up. It is totally worth the wait until it reaches the ideal temperature of 38-40 degrees.

Relax whilst you soak in the tub, with a drink, watching the sun set over the glorious Norfolk countryside or the huge starry night sky.

Pizza Ovens

The Lakes site has a large wood-fired oven for authentic-tasting pizzas. Everyone can get involved and make their own - perfect for fussy eaters.

We also have pizza hampers which you can purchase, full of everything you need including dough, sauce, cheese and toppings.

Both huts at Honey Pot Meadow also have their own Ooni pizza ovens.

Nature Spotting

As our name suggests, both sites are a haven for wildlife. We have created a nature reserve you are free to explore, often grazed by Welsh mountain ponies. It follows the river and you may even spot a kingfisher flitting along the banks. We have numerous waterfowl - our current residents include several swans, flocks of graylag and Canada geese, waders and oyster catchers. As well as waterfowl we have owls, skylarks, warblers and other songbirds.

The only animals that aren’t wild are the Belted Galloway cattle and sheep which graze the pastures.

BBQs

Each hut has a Kadai fire pit with a grill for cooking on as well as a tripod for hanging pots over the flames. There are also two large fire bowls beside the outdoor kitchen at The Lakes for mega meals!

Glamper Hampers

We can provide various hampers for you to enjoy during your stay. Please give 1 weeks notice to organise these. We aim to source all our ingredients locally.

We have 2 hampers available: Cooked Breakfast and Pizza.

Wood Burners

Each hut or yurt has its own wood-burning stove to keep you toasty and warm when the evening chill sets in. Simply light the fire as per the instructions and using the wood and kindling provided. You’ll be cosy and warm in no time.

Group bookings

The Lakes is a fantastic place for large groups of friends or families wanting to get together and celebrate a special occasion. Set overlooking an eight-acre lake the huts are centred around the Nest, an elevated safari tent for communal use, with a definite wow factor!

At weekends and during school holidays we often let the site as a whole and offer exclusive use of the Lakes. Click here for more information
