Group Glamping At Wild With Nature, Norfolk

Luxury Group Glamping in Norfolk

The Lakes is a fantastic place for groups of friends or families wanting to get together and celebrate a special occasion. Set overlooking an eight-acre lake the huts are centred around the Nest, an elevated safari tent for communal use, with a definite wow factor!

Smaller groups of up to 12 people can book a combination of up to 3 individual properties using the Book Now button (see The Lakes page for details on individual properties).

We also often offer full site hire and exclusive use of the Lakes. In total we can accommodate 18 people in huts and yurts or up to 30 people if additional bell tents are hired. To discuss availability and requirements for an Exclusive Use booking, please contact us.

Our four traditional style shepherd’s huts sleep a up to 10 people*; three huts have a double bed and the fourth also has bunk beds. We also have two 5-metre yurts sleeping up to 8 people*. These are each equipped with a double bed and 2 single futons, which can be converted into single beds to sleep up to 4 people.  (*There is, however, space to accommodate a fifth person in each yurt if they bring their own (small) camp bed and bedding.)

Luxury Glamping in Norfolk things to know

Each fully furnished hut and yurt has a small wood burner to keep things cosy and its own fire pit and seating outside.

All of our huts and yurts have their own private facilities with flushing loo and shower. For Mallard, Teal and Skylark, these are next door, while for Pheasant, Barn Owl and Kingfisher, these are a short walk away.

We also have three bell tents which can be hired at an additional cost in order to give a little more space and flexibility in sleeping arrangements (such as for a large family) or to increase the total group capacity to 30 people. Each bell tent can sleep up to 4 people with a double bed and 2 single chair-beds.  The bell tents are not a permanent fixture and can only be booked during summer months, in conjunction with another booking. They share facilities with the relevant hut / yurt (s).

All bedding is provided at The Lakes, however towels are not provided.

The Nest, our communal area, is equipped with two kitchen areas with gas hobs; all crockery, glassware and utensils are provided. There are two large fridge freezers for you to stock  with provisions or we can suggest outside caterers if you fancy relaxing completely.

group glamping communal areas

If you wish to cook a feast for a crowd we have a communal cooking area with two large fire pits along with a wood fired pizza that cooks brilliant pizzas in minutes. There are also two further kitchen areas adjacent to Mallard and Teal huts, equipped with fire pits, barbecues, sinks and food preparation areas.

The Nest is also equipped with leather sofas, beanbags for relaxing around the cosy pellet-stove, deck chairs for sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake and 3 dining tables and chairs.

If you want to be more active you can explore the walking trails around the 75 acres of wildlife habitat  on the glamping site, go wild swimming in the 8 acre lake, try your hand at dinghy sailing or use the hybrid paddleboard/kayaks.

In addition to all of this we have a wood-fired hot tub that can be hired for the weekend or is included in the cost of exclusive use bookings. It seats 4-5 people so you can sit back, have a soak and gaze at the stars.

The Lakes are completely off-grid, with power for lights and sockets (in Nest & Outdoor Kitchen only) provided by solar panels and drinking water also from our own source. There is no wifi, enabling you to really switch off from the outside world and simply enjoy the setting and the company. The nearest pub and shop is three miles away, and the Lakes themselves are situated about a mile from the village road.

Although The Lakes is pretty isolated, out of respect to the surrounding wildlife and neighbouring fishing lakes, we have a low-noise policy and are unable to permit any amplified / loud music on-site at any time.
