Your Perfect Group Retreat
- Sleeping up to 30 your group has total privacy to unwind, relax, explore, share meals and create memories in a beautiful natural setting.
- Flexible group size: You can choose to add up to three individual bell tents to increase your booking size— you can add these at point of booking!
- Wellness-friendly setting: The gentle ripple of the lake, the soothing wood-burner fire-pits, the quiet of no WiFi (so you can really unplug) set the scene for group yoga, nature reflection, mindful walks or simply deep relaxation. So if your looking to find your next location to host an incredible retreat, look no further
- Family-friendly design: With options for bunk beds, bell tents and communal spaces, it’s ideal for families of all ages coming together (however please keep in mind the lack of barriers between the site and the water. For this reason, we don’t feel The Lakes is suitable for children below the age of 5 or for those children who can’t swim.)
Wilderness Wonders
- Group cooking / socialising: Two large fire-pits and a wood-fired pizza oven make evening meals a shared, joyful event. Additionally, two dedicated kitchen zones (next to Mallard & Teal) offer fire-pits, barbecues, sinks and food-prep areas.
- Nature action or stillness: Explore 75 acres of wildlife habitat via walking trails; try wild-swimming in the lake or gliding on hybrid paddleboard/kayaks — perfect for energising the body and calming the mind.
- Hot tub: Enhance your retreat with a wood-fired hot tub (comfortably seats 4-5) — ideal for an evening soak under the stars with your group.
- Serene and remote yet reachable: The nearest pub and shop are three miles away; the Lakes site lies about a mile from the village road, preserving tranquillity while not being completely isolated.
Water Activities
The Surf Shack is stocked with cool boxes, buoyancy aids and our very own hybrid paddleboards.
There is no additional charge for use of our water sports equipment. We do, however, require guests to complete a disclaimer on arrival for insurance purposes.
