Choose between our Norfolk glamping sites

Summer 2024

Looking for an adventurous yet luxurious outdoor retreat with friends or family? Wild With Nature provides the perfect blend of indoor comfort and outdoor adventure, set within our wildlife-rich conservation site. With elegant accommodations, well-appointed facilities, along with a wide range of things to do both onsite and nearby, Wild With Nature is the ideal setting for a glamping getaway.

We have two sites, each offering a first-class glamping experience, but with key differences that might make one a better fit for your adventure. Below, we break down the details to help you choose the ideal location for your Norfolk glamping adventure.

The Lakes: a haven for families & groups

Scattered amid wildflower meadows, trees and bushes, and overlooking a peaceful lake, you’ll find a selection of beautifully decorated shepherd huts and yurts. Each has its own outdoor space and unique outlook to ensure privacy and create a sense of tranquil seclusion. Private toilets and shower huts are set slightly apart from each accommodation.

Our four shepherd’s huts are each furnished with a comfortable double bed and wood-burning stove, providing a warm and cosy experience regardless of the weather. One of these huts – Barn Owl – comes complete with a bunkbed in addition to the double bed, making it an ideal choice for families.

For those seeking extra space, our two yurts can accommodate up to four people each. Each yurt is equipped with a double bed, two single beds, and a wood-burning stove.

During the summer months, we set up three additional bell tents to provide flexible accommodation combinations for different sized groups. These can only be booked alongside another hut or yurt, making them ideal for larger families or groups.

Retreat amenities

At the heart of the Lakes site is “The Nest”, our communal safari tent that overlooks the lake. Opposite the jetty, the Nest provides the perfect space to unwind and relax. Underneath the covered porch are deckchairs and beanbags, while inside you’ll find sofas and armchairs set around a pellet-burning stove, with a selection of games, maps and books to use during your stay. Three dining tables and a kitchen area complement the covered outdoor kitchen, where you’ll find a wood-fired pizza oven and two large fire bowls which serve as versatile BBQs.

Behind the outdoor kitchen is the Surf Shack, which houses our hybrid paddleboards and life jackets. Cool boxes and outdoor games are also supplied here, as well as additional firewood and supplies which can be purchased via our online shop, or with cash in the honesty jar.

The Lakes has a large wood-fired hot tub overlooking the lake, ideal for settling back and relaxing in style. This can be pre-booked before your stay for private use.

Group glamping

With it’s variety of accommodation options, the Lakes site is ideal for groups of all sizes. You can book multiple huts, yurts and bell tents together, or to ensure exclusivity, book the entire site for your stay.

Honeypot Meadow: a secluded retreat for two

Our Honeypot Meadow site is a haven of serenity, with just two huts nestled against a woodland copse and overlooking a lake. Each shepherds hut is larger than those at the Lakes site, and has an adjoining ‘Sundowner cabin’ for additional space to relax and enjoy the views.

Each hut is furnished with a double bed, a pellet burning stove, a sofa, kitchenette and indoor bathroom. Outside, extensive wooden decking houses an outdoor table and chairs and a private woodfired hot tub.

The Sundowner cabins each have comprehensive cooking facilities which include a double-ring gas hob, Kadai fire pit and Ooni pizza oven. The space is also complete with a sofa, fluffy blankets and a wood burner to ward off any evening chill. It’s the perfect place to unwind whilst watching the sun set, or peacefully watch hares and pheasants playing by the oak tree. Books, games and binoculars are provided – ideal for wildlife watching.

Retreat amenities

Due to the private nature of Honeypot Meadow, there are no shared facilities here. The exception is the lake itself and the hybrid paddleboards.

We believe that Honeypot Meadow is the ideal setting for a true retreat, with comfortable and luxurious facilities and picturesque surroundings, backed by woodland and overlooking a wildflower meadow and lake. However, guests wishing to explore  the Lakes site can do so by prior arrangement. Occasionally this site gets exclusively booked by a group, but otherwise, it may be possible to visit and enjoy its alternative walks, views and lakes.

Key takeaways

  • Best for families and group glamping: The Lakes is ideal for families and group glamping trips, and the entire site can be booked for exclusive use
  • Best for privacy: Honeypot Meadow is more private, ideal for adults only as the huts can only accommodate two. All amenities at Honeypot Meadow – including the hot tubs – are private
  • Accommodation capacity: Our yurts, bell tents and Barn Owl shepherds hut can sleep up to four people, while all other huts can only accommodate two
  • Communal facilities: The Lakes site has a communal safari tent and covered outdoor kitchen, and hybrid paddleboards in the Surf Shack

Wildlife and immersion in nature

No matter which site you choose, you’re sure to experience a unique immersion in nature. In either site, you can explore wildlife-rich meadows and woodland, paddle across our lakes or indulge in a wild swim.
